Did You Miss It?

The Google Classroom Bootcamp

I just completed the 1st quarter offering of The Google Classroom Bootcamp. I want to thank all of the educators that joined and share some of the highlights of the event with the rest of you!

I took some time during the event to highlight some of the important parts of Google Meet. Why? Because it is what I use to tutor with! Since I have a paid Google Workspace account, I want to maximize my usage of the tool. If you don't use it, this screenshot may be useful to you.

I then listed some very specific reasons I use Google Classroom with my tutoring students.

Here are some of my reasons:

I wanted to teach online.

I needed an easy way to meet my students and share information. I went back to my training and began using Google Meet and Google Classroom.

Why?

My students are SAFE.

My students can navigate it easily.

I can set up the classes in advance and not be rushed to figure out where my information is on my computer.

I can add pdfs, links, Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Forms, and more right in the Google Classrooms and I can ORGANIZE it for EASY ACCESS!

My students can return at ANY point to practice anything I have shared with them!

I can use it with 1-to-1 students, small groups, share it with multiple people, add additional teachers, create courses and sell them to adult learners!

I then went on to share specific example of how I use Google Classroom with the audience. I think all of the attendees really enjoyed it, but I want to thank Miriam M. for sending a nice email with a message telling me she found it very helpful.

At the end of the training, I took time to answer questions and we spent some time looking at whiteboards and the Kamiapp.

If you missed the training and would like it, let me know! I will send you the recording and then you can upgrade and join the Self-Paced Google Classroom Bootcamp Course to get step-by-step directions for doing all of these amazing things with your own students!
