I am helping to host another epic small town event! I was knee deep in preparation today and didn't get an email fired off until AFTER my tutoring was finished. Why? I was making about 15 signs for traffic awareness to keep our citizens and visitors safe as we host our small town event!

I am always eager to help and this event held its own challenges for me.

I created a radio advertisement for the event. I helped sell raffle tickets to cover the event costs. I found donors to help us out. I created a new website for information about our small town events. I posted lots of information on social media to raise awareness of it. I worked with town officials for our parade route and I am in charge of that part of the day. On the day of the event I will also be helping to serve a BBQ meal and I will be calling BINGO for 2 hours. This is bound to be a big day and they are calling for record high temps (100 degrees F!) Whew! Wish us luck!

In the midst of all of this, I am helping my daughter prepare for her upcoming wedding! Weddings are always so much fun, but there are a lot of moving parts. I am so proud of my daughter for her ability to organize events. I guess she saw me do enough of them that it is easy for her! She started early and is finishing strong.

Our community event is the same! Start early, stay consistent with all of the small details, get help when you need it!

I will be taking a few days off from emailing you to tend to this big event, and then I will be heading to Chicago to spend some time with my grandkids. But, I will send a few short notes your way to keep you inspired to take daily steps of promoting your business!

I have been a guest on the podcasts, The Online Tutor Podcast and Tutoring Tips for Teachers. I have also made several guest appearances and led educational summits including IMPACT 6 and SOAR 1 and 2.
