I am back with some fun book selections that might be found at your local library. My librarian and I have become great friends, I look forward to our visits and she always has a GREAT selection of books I get to choose from!

She hosts a fun event each week for our local preschool kids where she reads books to them and they have a fun activity to do.

Back to the main topic! I brought home some fun books this week and I wanted to share them with you here! I share these books with my students during the week to inspire them to read something NEW! My books vary in ability because my students vary in ability! (I will include a link to each book, none of the links are affiliate links.) Note: One of my mid-level readers was so excited to see the Magic Treehouse Graphic Novel. She had already read the short novel and is going to head to the library in search of the graphic novel. I told her we needed to chat about how the books were alike and different.

Another one of my mid-level readers was super excited about the Eerie Elementary books because she loves spooky stories and she thought this one looked like a fun one to read!

Note: One of my Freshman readers is using Who is Blackbeard to prepare for a book report. As a homeschool family, his parents want him to read a nonfiction book and write a report. We sorted through many books and landed on this one. He is able to read it independently and we are working our way through it. We have access to the book in paperback and on Kindle which makes it super efficient to use with him during our online lessons.

I have a junior high student who is very excited about The Rithmatist because she LOVES books with magic and adventure. When she reads, she LOVES to use different voices for her characters. She said she was going to go to her local library to look for this one this week!

By bringing books to our lessons and sharing them with my students I have the opportunity to inspire reading outside of our time together. Parents and kids alike LOVE it!
